Writing Competition Update

I’m a bit under the weather today and it’s affecting my ability to study. “Study? I thought this guy was done with law school for the year?” Ah, that’s what I thought too, but the writing competition is a major project. I’m on to the substantive part now which is a lot more fun than fixing up citiations. Our topic has to do with trademarks. Did you know that Barnum & Bailey Circus sued Utah for using the phrase, “The Greatest Snow on Earth!”? (Barnum lost.) 170 F.3d 449. (I’d find some cool links but I’m not allowed to conduct any outside research, so I’ll have to wait to look this stuff up. I won’t be reading any comments on this post until after May 20th either.)
